Megi's Tank Farm Inventory Management System

Unified SCADA-based Tank Inventory Platform for Hybrid Terminal Installations

One Unified Inventory Platform, Built for Hybrid Terminals

Most large refineries and oil & gas terminals run on a hybrid installation base — a mix of Honeywell, Endress+Hauser, and Emerson tank gauging equipment, each with its own software running on different systems. MEGI's Inventory Management System (IMS) was developed to bring all of this together into a single, reliable SCADA platform.

As facilities are revamped and expanded, MEGI IMS integrates seamlessly with existing hybrid installations through Exalon interfaces — working in tandem with Exalon's Tank Gateway UTG 306 — so terminals get unified visibility without ripping out proven field equipment.

Market Context & Why MEGI IMS

Market Share – Tank Gauging Products & Systems in India

Need for MEGI to develop IMS SCADA:

Large existing refineries and oil & gas terminals carry a hybrid installation base of Honeywell, Endress+Hauser, and Emerson equipment — each running different vendor software on different systems, making unified visibility difficult.

Revamping and expansion of existing tank storage facilities creates an excellent opportunity to integrate these hybrid installations with Exalon interfaces, enabling seamless integration with Exalon's Tank Gateway UTG 306 in tandem with MEGI IMS.

Three of the four major gauging vendors in the Indian market are exactly the systems MEGI IMS is built to unify.
Key Drivers Behind MEGI IMS

Unifies hybrid installation bases of Honeywell, Endress+Hauser, and Emerson into one SCADA platform — no more juggling separate vendor software.

Seamless integration with existing field instrumentation via Exalon interfaces during revamps and expansions, protecting prior capital investment.

Works in tandem with Exalon's Tank Gateway UTG 306 for reliable, standards-based data exchange across the terminal.

Backed by 30 years of MEGI's turnkey engineering experience across India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Africa, and the Middle East.
